A CEI Mastermind Learning Course

In today's tech-powered world, the word "stack" has taken on new meaning. For example, a software stack refers to a group of programs that work together to create a solution.

In the same way our phones and computers require different layers and types of code, entrepreneurs need a diverse set of skills and tools in their stack to grow a business.

That's where VentureStack comes in.

A Support system to Unlock Your company's Potential

Based on the Mastermind Process, VentureStack is built around an exclusive community of peers who are dedicated to each other's success. This ensures a productive, confidential space for participants to share their biggest business problems and get feedback from those who have gone through similar experiences.

To accelerate learning and growth, we begin each session with a short lesson that's developed from the real-world experiences of seasoned professionals. After that, the group will dive into the Mastermind session to focus on one member's business. Throughout the year, participants are given tools and have time to develop action plans that will help them scale their tech-based business.

Benefits of a Mastermind

The knowledge gained from joining a mastermind is drastically different from what you'd get chatting with an advisor, mentor, or team member. The group atmosphere allows you to gain a variety of perspectives to help you see your business problems in a new light. As a byproduct, you get a powerful network of peers who have an intimate understanding of your company and can support you long after the course ends.

Participating in a mastermind can help you:

  • Accelerate company growth
  • Increase access to resources
  • Get feedback on problems and ideas
  • Learn from others' successes and failures
  • Recognize and address blind spots
  • Quickly expand your network

"This was my first mastermind, and it was really interesting to hear everyone's perspective. The Collective experience of  the group allowed us to narrow in on problems that weren't originally verbalized to find the right solution."

How it Works

The VentureStack program has been optimized to suit the needs of company founders with busy schedules. VentureStack meets every other Thursday from 8 am to 12 pm so that the group has time to learn, work, and discuss topics in-length. When you apply to VentureStack, you're not only making a commitment to support others in the group, but you're making an investment in the future of your company.

Education

Throughout the year, each session will begin with a short presentation from a Subject Matter Expert (SME). This speaker will lead you through tactical strategies and tips that will help you grow your business. Once they’ve shared their lessons and advice, they’ll stick around through the Mastermind to offer their expert feedback.

Action

Our mastermind program is meant to be a learning experience, not another commitment that will lead to more work for you. To make sure that you can implement what you learn during each session, we’ve carved out some time for you to get work done while you can still get feedback from SMEs and peers.

Conversation

The Mastermind process is at the core of this program, and gives you the opportunity to build strong bonds with like-minded founders. Throughout the year, all participants will have the chance to open up and share their problems with the group. In turn, they receive feedback and support from people who know what it’s like to walk in your shoes.

Accountability

The task list for startup founders is never ending, making it difficult to figure out what to prioritize and how to take action in a timely manner. Fortunately, regular check-ins with experienced peers will hold you accountable so that you can take strategic steps for your business.

"I've taken a lot of per-topic courses and seminars, but this is definitely more thorough... I'm actually learning how to work my entire company, not just the topic or the issue at hand. There's a big difference."

What You'll Learn

It's a vast understatement to say that running a new business requires a variety of skill sets. Filling knowledge gaps is especially important during development and growth phases. And unfortunately, most early-stage companies don't have the capital to hire staff, putting a lot of pressure on founders to wear many different hats. Recognizing this, we built VentureStack to supplement our participants' business knowledge with expert advice in each of the major topics that matter to startups. Whether a lesson serves as a refresher or presents entirely new ideas, you'll walk away with key business concepts to implement with your team. Below, you'll find the topics that we will be covering throughout the 8-month program and more information will be coming soon!

Applicant Criteria

To be considered for VentureStack, you must be the founder of a technology-based startup that has high growth potential. To ensure continuity between the Mastermind participants, your company must be in-revenue, earning less than $1M annually. Most importantly, you need to be ready to hear constructive feedback and be eager to learn!
