CEI Celebrates Client Wins

March Blog.jpg

How do successful incubators track and report their success and impact on the communities in which they live? Simple; the stories of achievment of milestones and the success of the people, the business heros and champions, who put it all on the line to succeed.  I want to share these current stories of our client successes as they compete for grant opportunities and as they achieve significant milestones along their growth paths.  Here are few example of the stories we get to share when CEI clients emerge as successful operating companies ...

Somatic Labs Takes ASU Innovation Open

We're thrilled to share the recent news that Somatic Labs co-founders Shantanu Bala, Ajay Karpur and Jacob Rockland won the first ASU Innovation Open competition in late March, 2017. The three met five years ago during networking events for winners of the Flinn Scholarship, a prestigious, merit-based program for Arizona high school graduates to attend one of the three state universities. Two founders are graduates of Arizona State University and one is a senior at the University of Arizona. The three co-founders pitched their way into CEI and launched Somatic Labs.

The award of $100,000 will fund the commercialization of the product. The wristband device named, Moment is a wearable technology using "haptic," or touch technology to help manage information into finely tuned vibrations.

Congratulations guys! CEI is proud to work with you.

BMSeed Wins Flinn Foundation Award, Makes Semifinalist for AIC

The BMSeed technology develops and sells products for biomedical applications that require soft and stretchable electronic interfaces with cells, tissue, or skin.

The team worked long and hard developing their pitch with the goal of winning the Flinn Foundation grant totaling $30,000. This crucial funding was will be essential when it comes to driving their technology development forward and going to market. Without funding like this, it would be virtually impossible for CEI clients to reach their big milestones.
