Phoenix, AZ – The Center for Entrepreneurial Innovation (CEI) announces a new partnership with Nucleate, the regional chapter of a global student-led biotech nonprofit dedicated to empowering future biotech leaders.

This partnership combines CEI’s commitment to workforce development and innovation with Nucleate’s expanding community of graduate students, researchers, and emerging founders pursuing careers in biotechnology and life sciences entrepreneurship.

As part of this collaboration, CEI recently sponsored Nucleate for $5,000 at Venture Cafe Phoenix’s Thursday Gathering to support future educational programming and ecosystem-building initiatives.

CEI and Nucleate will jointly develop programming to prepare students and early-career scientists for the evolving bioscience industry through the following initiatives:

  • AI applications in biotech and laboratory environments
  • Founder development and entrepreneurial readiness
  • Commercialization strategy
  • Workforce preparedness and professional development
  • Bioscience innovation pathways

Nucleate is a global student-led nonprofit organization that supports academic researchers and trainees in accessing mentorship, education, and resources necessary to translate scientific innovation into real-world impact. The Arizona chapter has engaged hundreds of students through biotech-focused webinars, educational panels, and innovation challenges.

“CEI is excited to partner with Nucleate to help more students and early-career scientists see a future for themselves in biotech and entrepreneurship,” said Jeff Saville, Executive Director of CEI. “Together, we can open more doors, build real-world skills, and support the next generation of bioscience innovators in Arizona. “

Future joint programming by CEI and Nucleate will focus on expanding access to workforce development opportunities and cultivating the next generation of biotech innovators and founders in Arizona.
