Fahrenheit Labs is accessible to students of the Maricopa Community Colleges and their companies provided they meet the admission criteria. Minimum requirements include:
•MCCCD student(s) must be enrolled and in good-standing in (6) credit hours at one of the ten Maricopa Community Colleges and/or two Skill Centers.
•MCCCD student(s) must be in good academic standing with the Maricopa Community Colleges and must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher for the duration of their time in the program.
Fahrenheit Labs also utilizes a selection committee, which convenes monthly to review applications and student company pitches based on additional factors related to student-led businesses, including:
•The student should represent a small startup business.
•The student will locate both management offices and production facilities in Arizona.
•The student can articulate the business model and entrepreneurial opportunity.
•The student’s business concept is unique.
•The student will agree to produce a business plan within 3 months of the entering the program.
•The essential resources needed to start the business are available or can be acquired.
•The student is willing to adhere to policies and procedures of the program and facility.
Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance into the student incubation program. Additionally, meeting the above requirements also does not guarantee acceptance as multiple factors are considered.
